Brantford Red Sox Mourn The Loss of Jamie Corke

The Brantford Red Sox mourn the loss of Jamie Corke who passed away on December 6. We send our condolences to his family.

Jamie Corke was a Brantford Red Sox player and manager . He was named to the list of the IBL Top 100 players of all time in 2018. 

Anne Chamberlain, team and IBL historian notes "He was the IBL rookie of the year in 1975. Jamie was a 5 time IBL all star, batting champ twice and was named to the IBL's Top 100. In 1981, he was the named MVP in the playoffs (Brantford won the championship that season). He retired but came back to manage the Sox in 1983 & 1984. He was well respected when he turned his talents to umpiring afterwards."

The Brantford Red Sox were honoured to host Jamie Corke night in July 2018, where in recognition of his outstanding baseball career Jamie was presented with his IBL 100 gold bat surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be held at Dennis Toll Funeral Home,  55 Charing Cross St Brantford, Wednesday December 11 from 2-4 pm and  6-9 pm.  Funeral service will be at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 155 Memorial Dr Brantford, Thursday December 12 at noon.
