Brantford Awaits Winner of Barrie/Kitchener Playoff

The Brantford Red Sox's first round playoff opponent will be determined Tuesday night in Barrie. The Barrie Baycats and Kitchener Panthers finished tied for first place overall in the 2019 Intercounty Baseball League regular season standings, with identical 25-11 records (Barrie hosts the tiebreaker game by virtue of their 3-2 regular season record vs. Kitchener).  Brantford will then face off with the winner of this game in the IBL Postseason opening round.

Once Brantford's opponent is known, our full playoff schedule will be announced. However, it appears that Game One will be on Thursday August 8, either in Barrie or Kitchener (with Barrie making the announcement at last week's game hosting Brantford, and Kitchener's announcement on Twitter)
