Brantford Drops Road Game Against Jackfish

WELLAND, ON - May 29th, 2025 - The Brantford Red Sox fell 13-1 to the Welland Jackfish on Thursday night at Welland Stadium.

Brantford (1-4) battled hard, falling down 3-0 at the end of 6th, before securing the lone run from Lucas Bateman to make it 3-1. Bateman and Max Schmarder contributed offensively each with two of the Red Sox’s seven hits.

On the mound, starter Jeremias Scure provided some stability pitching 5 innings with 3 earned runs. However, in the bottom of the 8th inning, the Jackfish were able to capitalize on their opportunities, scoring 10 runs.

The Red Sox look for redemption tonight against Welland and to bounce back as they continue their 2025 IBL season.
