Brantford Red Sox Players Named in IBL's First and Second Team List
BRANTFORD, ON -- Despite the Brantford Red Sox season ending differently, two players still received recognition for the All-IBL Team. Outfielder Ren Tachioka and Third Baseman Christian Ortega have been named on the IBL’s first and second teams.
Ren Tachioka was selected to the First Team. Leading the league with 29 stolen bases, earning the highest stolen base percentage. Additionally, he placed in the top four in the league with 59 hits and 39 runs scored, earning him second place in the Intercounty Baseball League for the highest batting average of .396.
Christian Ortega was selected to the Second Team. Ending the season with a league-leading 42 RBIs and eight home runs, ranking 6th overall in the league.
