Brantford Red Sox Sign Dean Christidis
BRANTFORD, ON - The Brantford Red Sox, members of the Intercounty Baseball League, are proud to announce that Dean Christidis has been signed for the 2022 season.
Dean is a 22 year old left handed pitcher from Markham, Ontario. He played with the University of Toronto Varsity Blues from 2017-2021 where he was a Mental Health Studies major. In the 2021 regular season he logged 25.1 innings, striking out 36 while posting a 0.36 ERA. The undefeated 2021 Varsity Blues would go on to win the OUA Championship, with Dean striking out 11 and earning the win in Toronto's semifinal victory over Western. Dean was named OUA most valuable pitcher and was also named an OUA All Star as starting pitcher.
Dean is also a member of Greece's national baseball team. Dean made his Greek national team debut in the 2019 European Championship in Bulgaria where he won the Most Valuable Pitcher award.
