BRANTFORD RED SOX WELCOME BACK VETERAN PITCHER TYLER SOUCIE
BRANTFORD, ON – The Brantford Red Sox, members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL), are proud to announce the signing of veteran right-handed pitcher Tyler Soucie (Cambridge, ON).
The 34-year-old returns to Brantford after previously pitching in high-leverage situations for the Red Sox during the 2016 and 2017 seasons, posting a 2-3 record with 32 strikeouts over 30.1 innings. A former collegiate pitcher at Canisius College, Soucie has spent recent years working as a trainer and mentor through his role as founder and director of Velo Baseball in Kitchener. With renewed health and a fresh drive to compete, Soucie is ready to make his mark once again in the IBL.
“Tyler has been working extremely hard to make a successful comeback to the game he loves,” said Red Sox General Manager Jeff Lounsbury. “He’s spent years supporting our younger players in achieving their goals—now we’re excited to help him pursue his. We’re thrilled to welcome him back to Brantford.”
