Brantford Signs Daniel Howat

BRANTFORD, ON - The Brantford Red Sox, members of the Intercounty Baseball League, are happy to announce that Daniel Howat has been signed for the 2023 season.

Danny is a 20 year old native of Brantford. A 2-way player who is both effective on the mound as well as at the plate, last year he won the OBA 22U A Provincial Championship with the Jr. Red Sox, posting a .261/.469/.304 slash line while also pitching 38 innings with 5 wins and a 4.50 ERA.

Danny should also be familiar to IBL fans, having logged 27.2 innings pitched in 9 appearances with the Senior Sox last season as a Junior call-up.

Danny is also a French Studies major at Brock University. He was a standout member of the Badgers pitching staff in 2022,  posting a 3.69 ERA and a 4-1 record as a starter. Danny was also a Badgers Academic Excellence Award recipient.
