Edison Frias Named Pitcher Of The Week

The Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) announced its Players of the Week for the week of July 1-7.

Brantford’s Edison Frias was named Pitcher of the Week. Frias struck out eight over seven innings to help the Red Sox end a 20-game losing streak with an 11-1 win over Toronto July 7. The Brantford righty scattered three hits and allowed an unearned run against the Maple Leafs. In six starts, Frias has a 2.76 earned-run average and 1.15 WHIP with a 5:1 K/BB ratio in 39 innings.
