Kansas City Royals Promote Scott Thorman

Congratulations to Brantford Red Sox alumnus Scott Thorman who was promoted to Manager of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, AA affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. 

Last season Thorman managed the Royals' Advanced A affiliate Wilmington Blue Rocks to their first Carolina League Championship in two decades.  Thorman has enjoyed great success in the Royals organization as a coach and manager since 2014.  In 2018 the Thorman-led Lexington Legends won their first ever South Atlantic League championship.  This past fall Thorman managed Royals and other top MLB prospects in the Arizona Fall League.

Thorman, a native of  Cambridge Ontario, played two years of Major League Baseball with the Atlanta Braves in 2006 and 2007.  He was a key part of the Brantford Red Sox 2012 and 2013 Intercounty Baseball League championship teams, and won the 2012 IBL playoff MVP award.
