The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native signed with the Miami Marlins organization in 2022 and spent several seasons developing in the club's minor-league system. Serrata appeared across the Dominican Summer League and Florida Complex League before also being assigned to the Jupiter Hammerheads in 2025.
