Red Sox Putting Finishing Touches On Roster

The Brantford Red Sox, members of the Intercounty Baseball League, are happy to announce the signing of more players on the eve of the 2021 season.

Gabe Bruder is a 23 year old right handed pitcher from Burford, ON. A product of the Brantford Minor Baseball Association, Gabe also played high school ball with Reece Doumani and Brady Cappe on the Assumption Lions where they won the 2016 CWOSSAA Boys Baseball Championship.

Brady Cappe is a right-handed pitcher from Waterford, ON. He logged 14.2 innings pitched over 3 starts for the Brantford Red Sox in 2019, with 15 strikeouts and a 3.24 ERA.  Brady attended University of Pikeville in Kentucky, where he was selected to the Academic All Mid South Conference in 2019 and 2020. He led the Bears with 34 strikeouts over 29.1 innings pitched in 2020.

Nik Cardinal is a 24 year old right-handed pitcher from Bonnyville, Alberta. He attended Fresno State for the past 3 years. In 2021 as a Redshirt Senior he made a team & Mountain West Conference-leading 21 appearances for the Bulldogs, logging 37 strikeouts over 38.1 innings pitched.  Nik also previously played 3 seasons for the Fort McMurray Giants of the Western Major Baseball League, where in 2018 he led the pitching staff with a 2.98 era in 54.1 innings of work.

Roger Keen is a 22 year old outfielder from Kitchener Ontario.  He is another product of the Brantford Minor Baseball Association, and also saw some playing time in 3 games with in the IBL with the Red Sox in 2019. 

Bennett Moore is a 20 year old right-handed pitcher from Goderich, Ontario.  A graduate of the Ontario Nationals program, Bennett has signed with Johnson County Community College.  In high school he was named team MVP in 2017, 2018 and 2019, and was also named to the Principal's list each year for academics
