Brantford Red Sox Re-Sign Jon Dziomba
BRANTFORD, ON - The Brantford Red Sox, members of the Intercounty Baseball League, are proud to announce that Jon Dziomba has been re-signed for the 2022 season.
A native of Buffalo, New York, Jon made his debut with the Brantford Red Sox in 2021. He had 12 hits over 11 total games played, and posted a .444 postseason batting average. Jon also stole 7 bases on the year -most notably stealing home on August 27 vs. the Cardinals.
Jon previously played in the IBL from 2016-2019 with the Hamilton Cardinals where he posted a .348 overall average.
Jon graduated from Mercyhurst University in Pennsylvania, and played 9 seasons of independent pro ball across North America with stops in the Atlantic League, American Association, Can-Am League and North American/United Leagues. He won the 2013 United League Batting Title and was named to Baseball Americas Top 25 Independent Prospect List.
