Red Sox Secure First Win Behind De Los Santos' Dominant Start

BRANTFORD, ON - May 18th, 2025 – The Brantford Red Sox earned their first win of the 2025 season with a commanding 8-1 victory over the Guelph Royals on Sunday afternoon at Arnold Anderson Stadium.

Pedro De Los Santos was dominant in his first start of the year, allowing just one run on four hits while striking out eight and walking two. The left-hander continued his strong early-season form after tossing four scoreless innings in relief last week.

Brantford's offense was efficient, scoring eight runs on just six hits and taking full advantage of five defensive miscues by the Royals. Nick Burdett led the way with two RBI, while Ethan Paulos chipped in with two hits and an RBI. Lucas Bateman, Noah Roberts, and Tim Holyk each added an RBI to help power the Red Sox attack.

The Red Sox set the tone early and never let up, delivering a strong all-around performance in front of their home crowd.

Brantford now sits at 1-2 on the season and will look to carry the momentum into the next matchup this Thursday in Kitchener.
