Red Sox Select Dressler and Murray in Draft

The Brantford Red Sox, members of the Intercounty Baseball League, announced that they have signed Steven Dressler and Ricky Murray who were selected in the Guelph Royals dispersal draft.

Dressler is a 26 year old left-handed pitcher, who has previous IBL experience in Burlington and Guelph.   In 2015 with the Bandits he was named to the IBL All-Star Team.  In 2019 with the Royals Steven pitched 18.1 innings over 10 regular season and playoff appearances, logging 27 strikeouts and a 1.98 ERA.

Murray is an IBL veteran since 2012, and a fan favourite in Brantford having played 104 games with the Red Sox from 2016-2018. In the 2018 regular season Ricky led Brantford with a .364 regular season batting average.  Murray also played with Red Sox Field Manager Matt McGovern on the Kitchener Panthers from 2013 to 2015.
