Red Sox sign Tim Holyk for the 2025 season

BRANTFORD, ON - The Brantford Red Sox, members of the Intercounty Baseball League, are proud to announce the signing of 3B/1B/OF Tim Holyk  (Victoria, BC) for the 2025 season!

Holyk graduated in 2024 from Cumberland University (NAIA) where in he hit .344 (54-157) in 45 starts with 7 2B’s, 10 HR’s and 32 RBI’s. In 2023, he hit .290 (53-183) in 51 games with 11 2B’s, 16 HR’s and 68 RBI’s. Before transferring to Cumberland, Tim played 115 games at Miles Community College where he had a career average of .369 (128-347) with 28 2B’s, 23 HR’s and 126 RBI’s. Holyk brings some defensive flexibility with the ability to play both corner and outfield positions. 

“Tim is exactly what we are looking for. A high average, good power player with position flexibility. He is also a high character guy who comes from a baseball family. He has worked kids camps, works every day on his craft and loves to play the game” said GM Jeff Lounsbury 

 The Brantford Red Sox were founded in 1911 and have won 15 Intercounty Baseball League titles. GAMES for the 2025 season are FREE.
