SCOTT THORMAN NAMED MANAGER OF NW ARKANSAS NATURALS

Congratulations to Brantford Red Sox alumnus Scott Thorman who was announced as Manager  of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, AA affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, for the 2021 MiLB season. 

Thorman was previously announced as Manager of the Naturals in 2020 before the MiLB Season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In. 2019  Thorman managed the Royals' Advanced A affiliate Wilmington Blue Rocks to their first Carolina League Championship in two decades.  Thorman has enjoyed great success in the Royals organization as a coach and manager since 2014.  In 2018 the Thorman-led Lexington Legends won their first ever South Atlantic League championship. 

Thorman, a native of  Cambridge Ontario, played two years of Major League Baseball with the Atlanta Braves in 2006 and 2007.  He was a key part of the Brantford Red Sox 2012 and 2013 Intercounty Baseball League championship teams, and won the 2012 IBL playoff MVP award.
