Scott Thorman Named Storm Chasers Manager
Congratulations to Brantford Red Sox alumnus Scott Thorman who was announced as Manager of the Omaha Storm Chasers, AAA affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, for the 2022 MiLB season.
The 2022 season will mark Thorman’s seventh season as a manager in the Royals’ organization and ninth year as a coach. He was most recently Manager of the AA Northwest Arkansas Naturals in 2021, winning the Double-A Central title. In 2019 Thorman managed the Royals' Advanced A affiliate Wilmington Blue Rocks to their first Carolina League Championship in two decades. Thorman has enjoyed great success in the Royals organization as a coach and manager since 2014. In 2018 the Thorman-led Lexington Legends won their first ever South Atlantic League championship.
Thorman, a native of Cambridge Ontario, played two years of Major League Baseball with the Atlanta Braves in 2006 and 2007. He was a key part of the Brantford Red Sox 2012 and 2013 Intercounty Baseball League championship teams, and won the 2012 IBL playoff MVP award.
