Sucre Named Pitcher of the Week

The Intercounty Baseball League announced that Brantford's Jeremias Sucre is the league's HRD Bat Co Pitcher of the Week for May 30 - June 9.

The IBL's Facebook page noted "Jeremiah (sic) Sucre of the Brantford Red Sox continues to impress this season turning in another quality start to help lift his Red Sox to their second straight victory over the weekend.  Sunday afternoon he held the Kitchener Panthers to just four hits over seven complete innings while tallying 7 strikeouts. He surrendered just one run and allowed just two walks."

An honourable mention for Batter of the Week also goes out to Brantford's Kieran Bowles, who hit a league-leading .583 last week, going 7 for 12 over 3 games played. Also notable that Kieran caught Sucre's start that earned him Pitcher of the Week.
