Sox Streak Ends at 3

by Brantford Red Sox staff

The Brantford Red Sox are currently in the midst of a 5 games in 6 days stretch. They also came into Wednesday night on a 3 game wining streak, and hoped to make it 4 against the visiting Welland Jackfish.

This was the first in a home and home series against the Jackfish, with the two teams meeting again tomorrow night in Welland.  But unfortunately the win streak would end at 3 games, with Brantford falling to the Jackfish 6-1. Brantford starter Mack Major went 8 innings, surrendering 6 runs (5 earned) on 11 hits. The Brantford bats were simply unable to provide him with run support on this night. Robbie Gauthier led the Sox with 2 of their 5 total hits.

The Red Sox and Jackfish rematch goes Thursday night at Welland Stadium.

On Friday the Red Sox are back home as we welcome Brantford Olympian Erika Polidori to Arnold Anderson Stadium to throw out the first pitch on Brantford Minor Softball Association night. And please note there are only 2 Brantford Red Sox home games remaining in the regular season - make sure you use up any unredeemed tickets from previous games before the playoffs!
