Brantford Red Sox Week 8 Wrap Up

by B. Young

July 6 - Brantford Red Sox 5 Welland Jackfish 18

Hanging in there and playing close baseball with the first place team for 8 innings is some consolation, but giving up 13 runs in the 5th inning is what counts at the end of the day.

JULY 7 - BRANTFORD RED SOX 3 HAMILTON CARDINALS 8

Scoring just 3 runs won't win many games in the IBL nowadays. An average Danny Garcia start this season has equalled 7.4 runs allowed in 4 innings - Garcia giving up 7 runs over 4 innings to the Cardinals was on par for the course.

JULY 9 - BARRIE BAYCATS 15 BRANTFORD RED SOX 20

Giving up 7 runs in the first inning, Brantford looked like they would be going 0-3 for the week. But the Red Sox immediately responded with a dozen runs, on their way to a 20-15 win. Read the full game recap here Photo Gallery
